Geothermics still on the rise: Stadtwerke München are planning 16 new geothermal projects

Munich is to become the first German metropolis to source 100% of its district heating from renewable energy sources by 2040. In order to achieve this, Stadtwerke München (SWM) will mostly concentrate on geothermics, alongside green gas and biomass: up to 16 new geothermal projects are to be created in the city.
