Deep geothermal energy - one of Bavaria`s top performers

Concerning the next 50 years, hydrogeological geothermal model calculations predict stable funding conditions for deep geothermal power plants in Upper Bavaria. This and other forecast results are presented by the Leibniz-Institute for Applied Geophysics, Hannover (LIAG) at the end of the project "Geothermal characterization of karstic and fissured aquifers in the greater Munich area." Within its framework, a simulator has also been developed for the numerical forecast modelling of different geothermal production scenarios.
