Crowds at public gathering of geothermal project in Schnaitsee

On 22 May 2012, Matthias Hiegl, managing director of Future Water Energy, informed citizens from Schnaitsee and surroundings on a local information event about geothermal energy production in the region. Together with other experts, he answered all questions from interested visitors concerning the drilling which will start at the beginning of 2012 as well as the power plant construction afterwards. Thereby, not only all kind of unclear issues could be settled but also prejudices in terms of potential risks could be eliminated. Overall, the municipality is very open-minded towards renewables as the municipal council already established a Committee on Energy some time ago.
